When The Eagles disbanded in 1980 to pursue solo careers, they left behind a huge void with their adoring fans. Although their solo careers also produced amazing songs, fans still longed to hear their melodic classics.
Inspired by The Eagles legacy, Brian Eldredge, Lon Garcia and John Polizzi set out to fulfill the void that the Eagles left behind. Their objective was to deliver an authentic replication of The Eagles mega-hits to the fans who adored them. At the time, tribute bands were unheard of and they weren’t quite sure how their show would be received by the dedicated Eagles fans. Taking on the roles of the highly respected “Classic Rockers” would not be an easy feat!
Each member came from successful music careers who possessed strong work ethics and impeccable musicianship, giving the group a strong foundation. Founding member Lon Garcia was the band’s “producer/musical director”, making sure all the parts were performed exactly as the Eagles had. In 1993, they debuted their show “HEARTACHE TONIGHT®” and THE FANS WENT WILD! Their performance resonated with their audience – of all ages and all different musical tastes. The group quickly gained notoriety and a huge following along the west coast.
The group’s senior member Rick Ricketts joined in 1995 as lead guitarist and business manager. The group soon began performing nationally at such events as Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Wisconsin’s Riverfest, & Florida’s Mullet Festival. Then internationally at such events as Festa Del Sol in Mexico. They’ve been honored to share the stage as the opening act for high profile artists such as Ty Herndon, The Guess Who, Little River Band, Firefall, Mickey Thomas and more…
The groups articulation, thoughtfulness and uncompromising dedication to The Eagles music captivates their audience to where they feel like they are at an actual EAGLES CONCERT! “It’s our commitment to The Eagles to perform their legendary music with the justice it deserves.” Each member is committed to performing true to the sound of The Eagles band, and the result is AN EXPERIENCE that takes their audience back to times they cherish, while introducing a new generation to the music that resonated with so many people.
In 2007, to differentiate from other tribute groups using the same name, the group added “LIFE IN THE FAST LANE®” to their show’s name. In 2019, the group decided it was time to trademark both names to preserve their nearly 30 year history.
It is without a doubt that HEARTACHE TONIGHT® – LIFE IN THE FAST LANE® has brilliantly recreated the harmonic sounds of the legendary Eagles. Blending 5 part harmonies and 3 guitars, they tightly execute the magical compositions of such songs as Best of My Love, Witchy Woman, Lyin Eyes, New Kid In Town, The Long Run, and the exquisitely layered “Hotel California.” Performed with enthusiasm, style and conviction, this production remains as one of the nation’s MOST AUTHENTIC EAGLES tribute yet!
