Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

During the 1850s, Milly, a pretty young cook, marries Adam, a grizzled woodsman, after a very brief courtship. Starry-eyed with the thought of their new life alone, Milly is shocked to meet all six of Adam’s ill-mannered brothers, all of whom will be living in their cabin. She promptly begins teaching the brothers proper behavior, and most importantly, how to court a woman. But when the misguided brothers kidnap six local girls after a town barn-raising, a group of indignant villagers vow to make them pay!  Directed by Stanley Donen. Starring Howard Keel and Jane Powell. 1954. Rated G. One hour, 43 minutes.
