Part of our 90th anniversary celebration, we’re screening iconic movies decade by decade!
Our 2000s film title, selected by popular vote: MEAN GIRLS*
This iconic movie was written by funny-woman Tina Fey and is full of quotable laughs! Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) was always home-schooled, but now she is going to her first high school, complete with teenage royalty and a clear pecking order. But she’s a hit with The Plastics, an A-list girl clique which runs the school… until she makes the mistake of falling for pretty-boy Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett)! Little does Cady know that her crush is the ex-boyfriend of alpha Plastic Regina George (Rachel McAdams). 2004. Rated PG-13. 1 hour, 37 minutes.
*Unfortunately, the original title selected for the 2000s movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, has been pulled from theatrical distribution.
