Bad Kenny Band performs original acoustic Jam-driven music with unique interpretations of non-original music.  High Country based Bad Kenny Band spans many musical genres during their live performances.  Danny Marlowe, Kent Doobrow, Marc Chabot, Jay Nolan, Kev Martin, and Joe Matthews have been performing together as the Bad Kenny Band since 2010.

Kent Doobrow remembers:  “In 2010, our band Possum was performing a multi-night performance at the Charlotte Motor Speedway as part of an event hosted by Loose Lucy’s.  From the first note of Bertha, an unruly fan started literally taking out the first three rows and scaring many in the crowd.  We cut our set a bit short due to this craziness.  We came out to start the second set to find this unruly fan… being hauled back to the jail… come see us for further details… this fans name was KENNY.  This was the birth of Bad Kenny Band

Bad Kenny Band is currently working on their initial studio produced album.

Rich Lerner and The Groove have been recording and playing music in the North Carolina area for many years. In the 90s, Rich recorded and released four solo albums on the Rockduster label. Since 2000, Rich Lerner and The Groove have released five more albums on their own Freethemusic label. At heart, the group is a high-energy party band that loves to jam and play music of many styles. The band has a large and constantly rotating repertoire so that no two shows are ever the same. Musically, the group is made up of three singers and some exceptional lead players, backed by a solid driving rhythm section and colored with three-part harmonies. A big part of the band’s identity is in giving back to the local community in the form of their annual Groove Jam Music Festival, which benefits the local homeless shelter and food bank.
