Jules & Jim

Join us for our 11th Annual Summer Film Festival, this year in The Crown, on the third floor of the theatre!

Our auditorium is closed for renovations this summer – to learn more, read about our Capital Campaign.

In the years leading up to World War I, Jules (Oskar Werner) and Jim (Henri Serre) are inseparable friends. Living in Paris gives them ample opportunities to expand their horizons as they discuss politics, the arts, and life in general. Jim is something of a ladies’ man but Jules isn’t so lucky. They soon meet Catherine (Jeanne Moreau), a free spirit, and the three of them enjoy life together. She soon agrees to marry Jules – but with the arrival of the war, the couple must return to Jules’ home in Germany. The three hope to reunite, but with complicated feelings of love between them all, can they navigate happiness together? Directed by François Truffaut. 1962. Not Rated. 1 hour, 45 minutes.
