Joy on Fire with The Difficulties

Joy On Fire is a sax/bass/drum rock trio, originally formed in Baltimore, MD in 2009.  JoF has since played up and down the East coast, including gigs at Brooklyn’s Shapeshifter Lounge, SoWeBo Fest and the Windup Space in Baltimore, the Purple Fiddle in West Virginia, and North Carolina’s the Blind Tiger and Asheville Music Hall.

Last summer, the group hosted a month-long residency in New York’s Hudson Valley at The Winery at St. George, and this past May they played every Friday at the Cupping Room in SoHo, NYC.  Soon to be based in the NYC area, Joy On Fire recently completed its second album of Black Sabbath meets Eric Dolphy inspired “punk-jazz fuzz-rock,” entitled “You Will Awaken Now.”
