This summer, the Carolina Theatre is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation*, including installation of brand new auditorium seating!

By popular demand, we are selling some of our current, 50+ year-old, well-loved theatre chairs. This is your chance to own a piece of history and help the Carolina’s Setting the Stage Capital Campaign! Your purchase proceeds are a fully tax-deductible contribution… and a conversation piece!

There are three options available on a first-come, first-served basis:

  • OPTION A, Single Seat, $250 – Includes one seat back & cushion and two armrests
  • OPTION B, Love Seat, $400 – Includes two seat backs & cushions and three armrests
  • OPTION C, Sofa, $500 – Includes three seats backs & cushions and four armrests

SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. Each option will come with the pieces needed, as listed above, depending on how many you order. The auditorium seats will be removed at the end of June and will be available for pick-up at the theatre on a first come, first served basis. Seats will be limited by the number of usable pieces we have, so place your order early!

* Following the Community Theatre of Greensboro’s live production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid, running from June 15 through June 24, the theatre auditorium will close for renovations. In addition to the new theatre seating, upgrades include new carpet throughout the auditorium, lobby, mezzanine, walkways, Renaissance Room, and stairwells; expanded and refurbished concession area; updated restrooms on the mezzanine levels and in the orchestra level men’s room; and a fully expanded ladies’ room on the main orchestra level. The auditorium is slated to reopen in October 2018.
