In The Crown with Gooseberry Jam!

Clay Howard & the Silver Alerts is a band fronted by, yep – Clay Howard – a 30 year veteran of the NC music scene.

The band was formed in the Spring of 2015 to play new original music by Howard, who previously fronted Stratocruiser, Barely White, Diggin’ Taters and more bands dating back to the late 1980’s.

“Who the Hell is Clay Howard?”, was released April 2015 and spent 3 months on the Top Seller chart on Amazon. The album also gave birth to the song, “Send Me an Angel,” which was voted the #1 song on WMEL, Melbourne, FL for 2015. That same year, Clay was voted “Male Vocalist of the Year” by KUBU, Sacramento, CA.

In 2017, Clay released a pair of EPs, and was voted “Best Vocalist in the Triad” by the readers of YES! Weekly. In 2018 and 2019, Clay was 1st Runner-up in the vocalist category and songwriter category.

In 2019, Clay released the full-length follow-up to “Who the Hell is Clay Howard?” entitled: “Clay Howard doesn’t know who you are either..” which has garnered airplay across the globe, and big budget music videos for “She” and “Running Back Again.”

Howard’s Silver Alerts include Chad Huskey on lead guitar, Davidson Smith on drums, Jack Getz on bass, and Ricky Keen on electric dobro.
