Clay Howard and the Silver Alerts January 2, 2021, 7:30 pm
The Ghostlight Concerts with Clay Howard and the Silver Alerts with support by Gooseberry Jam
Ghostlights are a tradition almost as old as theatre itself – they light the stages when there are no performers, keeping the spirit of the theatre alive. After six months of just our ghostlight, we are thrilled to replace it with live performances on the Carolina Theatre stage! Seating will be available, but will be limited to 25 guests for each show, per government mandates. All guests will be asked to sign a liability waiver, and wear a face covering unless seated in the Auditorium.
Tickets are $20 plus 6.75% NC Sales tax.

Clay Howard & the Silver Alerts is a band fronted by, yep- Clay Howard- a 30 year veteran of the NC music scene.
The band was formed in the Spring of 2015 to play the new original music from the former singer of stratocruiser, Barely White, Diggin’ Taters and other bands dating back to the late 1980’s.
A CD, “Who the Hell is Clay Howard?”, was released in April of 2015 and spent 3 months on the top seller’s chart on Amazon. The album also gave birth to the song, “Send Me an Angel,” which was voted the #1 song on WMEL, Melbourne, Florida for the year 2015. That same year , Clay was voted “Male Vocalist of the Year” by KUBU, Sacramento, CA.
In 2017, Clay released a pair of EPs, and was voted “Best Vocalist in the Triad” by the readers of YES! Weekly. In 2018 and 2019, Clay was 1st Runner-up in the vocalist category and songwriter category.
In 2019, Clay released the full-length follow-up to “Who the Hell is Clay Howard?” entitled: “Clay Howard doesn’t know who you are either..” which has garnered airplay across the globe, and big budget music videos for “She” and “Running Back Again.”
The band is made up of Clay Howard on vocals and guitar, Chad Huskey on lead guitar, Davidson Smith on drums, Jack Getz on bass, and electric dobro player, Ricky Keen on electric dobro.
