About The Crown:
Once the sign shop for our historic theatre, The Crown on the third floor of the theatre has been remodeled to be an innovative black-box performance space. Children can even see original posters from the 1920s on the wall! The space is fully accessible, with two family bathrooms and its own concession stand.
Why is the auditorium closed? Our nonprofit is in a historic theatre, now 90 years old! Part of our mission is to preserve the building so that we can continue to bring arts to our community. This year we began Setting the Stage: A $2.5 million Capital Campaign to continue our mission. Our 50 year-old seats (which no longer have replacement parts available), worn carpet, audio/visual technology, ladies restrooms, and our concession stand are all getting a makeover!
