In the Crown with Mark Kano & Mike Garrigan of Athenaeum!
Started in 1990, Bus Stop’s high energy music took them from a small Greensboro bar band to the national television spotlight. Consisting of Chuck Folds on bass, Evan Olson on vocals and guitar, Britt “Snuzz” Uzzell on vocals and guitar, and Eddie Walker on vocals and drums, Bus Stop became a local and East Coast favorite. Now, after 30 years since their first gig, Bus Stop returns to play a hometown show in The Crown at The Carolina Theatre.
If you can imagine Simon & Garfunkel covering Prince’s “Little Red Corvette,” you’d have a good idea of what Mark Kano & Mike Garrigan sound like. The talented acoustic duo have been performing together since they met at a back yard barbecue in 1994. After a successful run with their bands Athenaeum and Collapsis on Atlantic and Universal records, Mark and Mike began playing acoustic shows combining the best of their collective catalog. The simplicity of vocal harmonies combined with layered acoustic guitars allow the honesty of their well-crafted tunes to take center stage.
